A loading spreader beam - also known as a loading spreader beam or load spreader - is a special load handling device used for lifting, moving and loading bulky or heavy components such as sheet metal packages, pallets, coils, drums or long goods. It is used in particular when manual lifting of individual parts is no longer practicable or safe - for example with high payloads or large-area materials.

Sheet metal storage drawers are loaded efficiently and gently using the LoadingBeam loading traverse - directly by crane or forklift. In the process, depalletised sheet metal packages are gripped with tested load straps and safely inserted into the drawers or superflat cassettes.
