What is a HandlingMaster and how does it work?
A Handling Master is a vacuum traverse and is also called a sheet metal manipulator. The product HandlingMaster from storemaster® was specially developed for the sheet metal storage drawers and flats of the shelving system. MasterTower® developed.
Generally, the term is understood to mean HandlingMaster a device for automated handling (nomen est omen) or managing of sheet metal and similar stored goods such as cartons, pipes or pallets. Handling masters often resemble robots and have electrically or hydraulically driven arms. These arms are equipped with gripping devices or suction cups with which the sheets are gripped, pulled out of the warehouse, held and moved. The sheets can be transported and rotated or tilted in the process.
The automatic controls of the HandlingMaster are often equipped with cameras or sensors with which the position of the sheets or stored goods can be precisely determined. They make manual transfer of the sheets no longer necessary. This gives warehouses increased efficiency and work safety.
What kind of sheets can the HandlingMaster handle?
As a supplement to the shelving system MasterTower® allows the HandlingMaster from storemaster® the handling of all the trays in the rack. No matter whether the sheets are stored in sheet packs in drawers, on storemaster®-system pallets or wooden pallets.
You want to separate double sheets? No problem. The HandlingMaster has a double sheet separation function with anti-adhesion technology. Additional ventilation allows the sheets to be separated from each other in a controlled manner.
How much weight can the HandlingMaster carry?
As part of the MasterTower® system is integrated, the HandlingMaster up to 400 kilograms of sheet weight. If it is used externally, it allows the handling of up to 750 kilograms. Thanks to its low structural height of only 350 millimetres, a maximum number of drawers can be controlled for use.
Is the HandlingMaster easy to operate and control?
Like all systems of the manufacturer storemaster® this tool has also been developed on the basis of and for the purpose of the simplest handling methods. With the multi-functional tray, the operator sucks in the stored goods and lifts or lowers them with a thumb lever. The operating bracket can be swivelled with mm precision, telescopically adjusted in height and electrically locked in place.
The suction plate for the sheets is spring-loaded, hinged, adjustable and has a soft lip. Double sheets can be separated with a simple push of a button and gently released by additional lifting. Further features and modules for safe and ergonomic handling are a spiral cable for power and control and an acoustic warning device. It can also be used on systems operated by crane.
