Depending on the conditions of use and operational circumstances, further inspections by an authorised person may be required in the meantime. Due to the stresses placed on slings, it is strongly recommended that shorter inspection intervals than once a year are specified. Slings made of man-made fibres must be observed for obvious defects during use. If defects are found that impair safety, the slings must be withdrawn from further use.
