The necessary material handling of entire sheet packs to remove a single sheet including machine operation is completely eliminated. During the processing time of the pre-picked orders, the next subsequent orders are compiled in the sheet picking system from the 60 drawers filled with sheet packs, which are quickly accessible and easy to operate. This is done using a convenient, manually operated HandlingMaster sheet manipulator including a sheet separation device to eliminate the adhesive forces. The fully electrified overhead travelling crane used for sheet removal also loads the drawers after the wood has been removed on a PalEx® depalletiser.

The system can be extended with additional drawer towers as required. Additional system pallets can be stored in the optional top levels for processing larger orders.
Another option is the additional operability of conventional shuttle table cutting systems.
In addition to sheet metal processing companies, this picking system is also of great economic benefit to the sheet metal trade.
The time, personnel and equipment savings achieved by pre-picking small orders using the particularly rationally designed storemaster® sheet metal panel picking system enables an efficient amortisation period of only approx. 1 year! An increase in productivity of approx. 50 % can be assumed.

What is a sheet metal order picking system?
The sheet picking system is an innovation from storemaster.de. It allows individual sheets for single-batch and small series cutting orders to be pre-sorted into a sheet package on a system pallet, so that they can then be processed in reverse order in a machine with automatic sheet pick-up or by manual sheet pick-up.
The sheets are pre-picked from a series of ergonomically favourable, manually operated sheet storage drawer towers using integrated crane-vacuum sheet removal technology to form a sheet stack of max. 100 mm, while the more distant cutting machine can process the previously prepared sheet stack without idling, as the continuous sheet processing eliminates the constantly repeated transport of entire sheet stacks between the sheet storage and the machine, just for the processing of a single sheet.
Independently of this, the sheet picking system can also be used to feed the shuttle table cutting machines located nearby.
To avoid residual sheets, storemaster.de recommends cutting the metal sheets either by increasing the number of pieces agreed with the customer (possibly with a cost advantage for the customer) or by combining small orders so that only residual grids are produced for disposal.
Such a sheet picking system can also be of great economic benefit in the sheet metal trade for compiling individual sheet orders for sheet metal processing customers.
