ArmStrong® classic – heavy-duty long-item plug-in racking for pipes, sections, bars, crates, pallets, containers and bulky goods on mesh shelf covers
The ArmStrong® classic is a heavy-duty cantilever racking system with tool-free, plug-in cantilever arms that has been tried and tested for over 50 years. It enables the safe, organised and space-saving storage of rigid long goods such as pipes, sections, beams, bar stock and bundles of material. The long-item racking is designed for daily, heavy-duty use in metalworking, as well as for loading and unloading with a forklift truck.
Depending on the version, the racking system is also suitable for crates, stacks of flat goods and other bulky stored items. Add-ons such as grating, as well as optional roof and wall structures, allow the system to be tailored to suit a variety of indoor and outdoor storage requirements.

Do you store long goods using a crane? For crane operation, the racking system is available as the ArmStrong® swingout with swing-out cantilever arms.

The cantilever arms can be height-adjusted without tools using a 75 mm plug-in grid. This allows the storage levels to be adapted at any time to different material cross-sections, flange heights and product ranges. The form-fitting safety suspension prevents the cantilever arms from jamming or becoming wedged. A 2° forward tilt and anti-slip devices on the racking columns ensure safe storage.

The racking is dimensioned and manufactured in accordance with RAL-RG 614. The racking system is designed with dual protection against failure and a maximum permissible deflection of l/200 for racking columns and plug-in cantilever arms. DIN EN 15635 sets out requirements for the safe use and maintenance of fixed steel racking systems.

The fully hot-dip galvanised racking structure, in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1461, offers lasting protection against corrosion and abrasion. This makes the ArmStrong® classic suitable as a long-item racking system for both indoor and outdoor use. On request, the upright framework is also available painted in colours from the RAL Classic range.

To ensure clear separation of different types of tubes, sections and beams, the racking can be expanded with divisible long-item cassettes: the MultiSort long-item cassette.

Delivery: Within Germany, a flat-rate delivery charge of €250 applies for orders with a value of less than €5,000. For orders with a value of €5,000 or more, delivery within Germany is free of charge. Self-assembly is carried out using the assembly and operating instructions supplied.

The cantilever racking system features a structurally sophisticated plug-in system that allows for tool-free height adjustment of the shelf beams. Thanks to its hot-dip galvanised construction, the system is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors – even on challenging ground conditions.

The ArmStrong® classic is designed as a heavy-duty shelving system for long items – for continuous industrial use, whilst remaining easy to operate:

Installation flexibility – even on problematic floors
Many floor surfaces do not allow for conventional anchoring (e.g. interlocking paving, tarmac, underfloor heating). This is where the storemaster® system comes into its own:

No mandatory anchoring required
Anchoring against lateral displacement is optional using drive-in anchors
Alternative: diagonal bracing of base beams to completely eliminate the need for any floor fixings
Special case for outdoor use: tension-resistant anchoring to the roof/wall is required in accordance with building regulations (snow/wind loads)

Outdoor use
Outdoor roof and wall structures made from trapezoidal sheet metal cladding, taking regional snow and wind loads into account in the structural analysis.
